Buffalo is the 2nd largest city in New York with a population of 260,000. The city really boomed during the early 19th century due to its proximity to the Erie Canal.

Buffalo, NY is the heart of the Western New York area. Located along the shore of Lake Erie, the city first rose to prominence in the early 20th century through shipping and industrial markets; then, like other cities in the Rust Belt, fell into disuse after companies began moving their manufacturing and fabrication operations overseas. 

However, in the last decade, Buffalo has begun to see a tremendous comeback. It's an exciting time to live here, as more local businesses and restaurants pop up, theater and sporting events are abundant and areas of the city such as Canalside are being developed again.
